Charlestown Open Market & F.I.T. and Boston Intuitive!

If you're wondering what we are up to, we have been busy! Event Planning Boston Weddings, ordering new merchandise for the upcoming Charlestown Open Market, working on F.I.T. and nutrition workshop with Em McCavanagh; scheduling our resident Intuitive & Psychic, MaryLee (of Boston Intuitive). The list goes on. Events this week are on May 25th and May 27th. There are some good raffles if you check Facebook on Friday, May 28th.

Customer Contest and Get Fit Event

Send me ideas that you want to see as In-Store events. The best ones will be turned into events from May 1st to July 1st. The highest attended and highest grossing events will receive $100 Gift Cards to Olivia Browning and a piece of Mariposa or Vietri. Contest closes for entries on April 26th.

Look out for more of our GET FIT Event with Em McCavanaugh on May 5th and May 12th. You won't believe what we have cooked up for you. Think Fitness and Nutrition. Think Cooking. Think Healthy, but not boring.

Registries and Classes and Easter

Well if last weekend did not give us a healthy dose of Spring, I don't know what will! Our doors were open and we had a streaming line of customers. Our Bridal Registries are hot! Our registered brides are loving Vietri Everyday and Formal China, Mariposa platters and serving pieces and wine goblets -- gourmet items and table linens.

We're reaching far and wide to expand our services for brides and their friends and families. We're looking at Chantal as a line of cookware. We are bringing in Zyliss kitchen instruments. We have a range of beautiful candles.

Next week I will begin my posting of our recipe of the week featuring ingredients you can find at the store - and suggesting healthy uses for them! We'll be offering a cooking demonstration and nutrition class in May. Joining me for FIT tips and training will be Em McCavanaugh, from FIT. You may have taken her Boot Camp class - or currently be in her work out classes in Charlestown. Stay tuned...lots of fitness and food to follow!

Easter is a little over a week away - we have so many things for your Easter Baskets it will astound you. Come in for a custom made Easter Basket - or one of our pre-made Easter baskets. We're happy to help you select the right items for your loved ones and make them look beautiful. Spread the word and get excited! Spring is here!

This week we will be sending out a survey via email and regular mail. We really want you all to fill it out so that we can continue to evolve and grow with the things you want to buy, the seminars you want to attend, the trunk shows you want....and more! This week I will also update the blog with notes from our Teen In-Store Discussion last week. We had over 20 Charlestown and North End Moms attend. News and NY Gift Show!

Thank you to Barbara Lynch and her staff (Allie!) for coming to Olivia Browning last Saturday and wowing the crowd! We had over 60 people attend a reading, tasting and book signing. Barbara's new cookbook, STIR is a wonderful addition to the shelves. Loaded with beautiful recipes and amazing photographs of the yummy dishes we can all prepare at home - it really is a "no-brainer" for those of us who love to cook. Treat yourself to a copy today!

We are off to New York on February 1st to search out new and exciting merchandise for our amazing customers! Tell us what you like and what you'd like to see! We want to be sure that we seek out things that make you happy. I love the Gourmet items and Jewelry and Tabletop. Bags, baby and toys are also fun - and as you know, we carry it all. Barbara Lynch at Olivia Browning on January 16, 2010

Renowned Chef, Barbara Lynch, will be coming to our store on January 16th from 2PM to 4PM. She is going to be speaking and reading from her new cookbook, "Stir". Barbara has also told us she is bringing delicious treats from her book. I cannot think of a better afternoon than a gourmet tasting and reading with one of Boston's best chefs. We have STIR in stock as of January 8th. Please come by for an advance copy - and then come again on the 16th to get it signed.
